Geography Fieldwork trip
Year 3 had an amazing time on their trip to Robin Hill.
With their Geography and Science hats on, they set to work putting all their skills and knowledge to the test. They carefully looked at all of the different plants that grow naturally in our climate and discussed how these can vary from the other types that grow in more tropical climates. Using Mrs Loizos’s and Mr Speer’s clever app, they also measured the light levels in different parts of the park. Finally, they compared two types of forests as well as completing a detailed sketch.
We also had a quick go at summoning our inner squirrels on the squirrel tower. We finished the day with an ice cream in the shade 🍦
A huge thank you to Mrs Gregory and Mrs Loizos for organising such a brilliant visit and a massive thanks to all the adults who came along.
